We at Iron Gait devote our lives to concentrate mainly to help draft horses with significant medical and emotional issues. This means obtaining any veterinary, farrier or chiropractic care needed to help provide them with a comfortable life, one that they might not otherwise receive.
In some cases, finding a horse a forever family can take several years and Some horses may never find a new home. These horses will then join our Sanctuary Community and live out their precious lives in our care.
Any horse can be expensive to maintain, especially one with special needs. The rehabilitation of these majestic horses as well as their ongoing medical care for some of our horses can be quite costly. With this we do allow each horse to have multiple sponsors.
We encourage all sponsors to visit their chosen horse, bringing horse treats to your sponsored horse, come out and groom him/her and show a lot of much needed love to the horse(s) that you have chosen. Sponsoring at Iron Gait Percherons You can personally monthly sponsor any needing horse specifically, or Also, just make a monthly contribution towards the everyday care & needs for all of the Rescued Horses.

However, As you know, having quite a few Sanctuaries to care for can be a lot of daily work! We only ask that you please call for an appointment, this way we can assign someone to devote their day giving you a personal tour and answering any questions you may have.
